Terms & Conditions / Warranty
Our warranty covers 2 years (5 years with extended warranty) from the date of fitting, covering the Elevate Pop Top Roof under the definitions and terms below. There are some exclusions and you should read carefully below.
Colour Coding
Paintwork is warrantied through the spray booth provider that we use should you order a colour coded roof (details available upon request). The warranty for colour coding is between you and the color coding provider.
Pop Top Roof System Warranty Information
First 2 years covers parts and labour with some exceptions.
Years 3-5 parts only. Labour is chargeable at our current rates.
This is a return to base warranty, where we will renew or repair the defective part at our current business installation address at the time of the warranty being utilised. Repairs will be mechanically and functionally repaired as required but we do not guarantee a perfect cosmetic finish as part of the warranty, although we will endeavour to make a high cosmetic repair or replace, as we see fit. Cosmetic issues are not covered under our warranty in any form.
Pop top roof systems do not damage easily. In most cases damage is the cause of an accident, neglect, or an object hitting the roof. Nothing should ever come into contact with your roof. If an accident happens and you inadvertently damage your roof we do have plenty of ways to repair this for you at cost so you shouldn't worry in such an accidental event and just contact us as we can probably help you.
Canvas tents, part of the pop top roof system, normally only get damaged through accidently trapping the tent in the hinge system or roof. In these cases they are more difficult to repair, but if we can repair this for you then we will at a cost. The tent is warrantied for a period of 12 months as an exception to your main warranty.
Maintenance schedules are a necessary part of owning a pop top roof system on your vehicle and if they are not followed then condensation, moisture from the elements in or out of use, cooking fumes, naked flames and other items (this list is not exhaustive) fall outside the scope of any warranty. You should never have a naked flame in the vicinity of your pop top roof system. You must undertake general maintenance after every use including but not limited to thoroughly drying out the pop top roof system within a few days of utilising it, and specific maintenance every 6 months. Email photos and a summary of your specific maintenance every 6 months to info@elevatepoptoproofs.co.uk using your vehicle registration number as email subject line, and ensure a reply from us has been received. Failure to perform specific maintenance and evidence could void your warranty should we discover that lack of maintenance causes premature failure. Specific maintenance tasks are listed in this document.
Accidental Damage Exclusion:
- Impact Damage: Any damage caused by objects striking the roof, such as branches, rocks, or other debris or objects.
- Collision Damage: Damage resulting from vehicle accidents or impacts. Any crash or impact by or to your vehicle, although not directly hitting your pop top roof system voids the warranty and as such you should claim for this through your insurer.
- Neglect: Damage due to failing to follow the recommended maintenance schedule, improper use of the roof mechanism, or exposure to conditions beyond normal usage (e.g., excessive weight on the roof, improper storage).
- Improper Usage: Damage from using the roof for unintended purposes or failing to adhere to usage guidelines.
- This is list is not exhaustive.
Specific maintenance

Send us your checklist and other evidence that maintenance has been undertaken such as photos or video to info@elevatepoptoproofs.co.uk and ensure a return receipt from us has been received to maintain your warranty.

Regular Cleaning
- Roof Canvas and Mechanism: Clean the roof canvas and mechanism periodically with mild cleaning agents to prevent dirt buildup and maintain flexibility.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that can damage the canvas or it's sub components or roof finish or pop top roof system.
Lubrication
- Mechanical Parts: Apply a suitable lubricant to all moving parts, including hinges and locks, to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- Frequency: Lubricate at least every six months or more frequently as needed based on usage conditions.
Inspection
- Periodic Checks: Regularly inspect the roof system for any signs of wear, damage, or potential issues. Key areas to check include the canvas, hinges, and locking mechanisms.

- Weight Restrictions: Do not place heavy objects on the roof to avoid structural damage.
- Closing the Roof: Always close the roof as instructed at the time of installation.
Weather Protection
- Extreme Conditions: During extreme weather conditions, such as heavy rain, snow, or strong winds, take additional precautions to secure the roof. In all cases we advise you not to use the roof in extreme weather conditions.

Canvas Care
- Cleaning and Conditioning: Clean the canvas regularly and apply a fabric conditioner to maintain its waterproof properties and flexibility.
- Avoid Trapping: Ensure the canvas is not trapped in the hinge system and other areas when opening or closing the roof to prevent tears and damage.
Maintenance Record
- Documentation: Keep a record of all maintenance activities, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections. This documentation should be sent to info@elevatepoptoproofs.co.uk and you must ensure a receipt from us is sent back to you. This affects warranty claims being authorised.
Contact for Service
- Professional Service: If you notice any issues that you are unable to address, contact our service department for professional assistance. It is better to address minor issues promptly to prevent them from becoming major problems.
